Ballantyne is a 535-acre campus in south Charlotte with millions of square feet of office space and around 250 companies. In recent years it has added The Bowl at Ballantyne, a dining, shopping and entertainment district, along with concerts at The Amp Ballantyne and more than 20 miles of trails and bike lanes, including a link to the Lower McAlpine Creek Greenway. A free shuttle, the Ballantyne Bolt, helps people get around the campus.

Coffee Republic Ballantyne is at 14825 Ballantyne Village Way, and it was designed for lingering. It’s a quiet place to work, a meeting spot for study groups and a cozy corner for reading. Grab a table, plug in and stay a while, or order ahead and grab your drink on the way to the office.

Come early or mid-afternoon for the easiest pick of tables. Bring headphones for calls, and if you’re settling in for a long session, order something new every couple of hours: it keeps you fueled and keeps your favorite neighborhood café in business.
