A neighborhood built for walking
King Farm covers about 440 acres in northern Rockville. Construction began in 1996 as a “traditional neighborhood development,” a style of planning that puts homes, shops, parks and offices close together so residents can walk to everyday errands. Today it is home to roughly 3,200 condos, townhomes and single-family houses, with the King Farm Village Center at its heart.
Coffee Republic in the King Farm Village Center
Coffee Republic Rockville is at 801 Pleasant Dr in the Village Center, and it is very much a neighborhood café. Along with our coffee, you’ll find fresh-baked pastries from local bakery Fresh Baguette, a Little Free Library to borrow from (or add to), and a shelf of board games for a slow weekend afternoon. Neighbors meet up here before work, after school drop-off and on weekends, and it’s an easy place to bring a laptop for an hour or two.

Working on Key West Avenue? We have a kiosk there too
Just west of King Farm, Key West Avenue runs through one of the region’s biggest office and life sciences areas. Our Key West Avenue kiosk is in the main ground-floor lobby of Building 9715 at 9715 Key West Ave, serving the corporate campus and research community on weekdays from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm. If your office is in the building or next door, your coffee is an elevator ride away, and you can order ahead so it’s ready when you come down.
What to order
Try a signature latte like the Snickerdoodle (vanilla and cinnamon) or Nutty Truffle (chocolate, hazelnut and brown sugar), or keep it classic with a cortado or cold brew.
